19の国と地域から応募いただいた作品のうち、11作品を選出しました。

11作品のうち9作品はろう者と難聴者、CODA（ろう者を親に持つ聴者）が監督。

これまでろうに関する映画は欧米の作品が目立ちましたが、今回はエジプトやフィリピン、ミャンマーなど、より幅広い文化圏から作品が集まりました。観客一人ひとりによる人気投票の集計で観客賞を決定します。

第3回東京国際ろう映画祭の上映プログラムが決定しました。

今回は会場上映（2021年12月4日(土)・12月5日(日) 場所 渋谷・ユーロライブ）に加え、初めてオンライン上映（2021年12月4日(土)～12月12日(日)）を実施いたします。

そしてろう者の視点で厳選した、本映画祭初公開の作品から世界各地の映画祭で上映された最新の話題作品など、ユニークな32作品を9日間で一挙に上映します。

第三回のテーマは「異質」です。

この世界には様々な人がいて、私たち一人ひとりにとっての「異質」もあらゆる形で存在しています。もし、異質さと出会ったらあなたはどうしますか？「異質」はあなたにとってどんな存在ですか？

そうした問いを静かに投げかけるような映画作品を皆様にお届けしていきます。この機会にろう者ならではの視点をぜひご体験ください。

From the entries we received from 19 countries, we’ve selected 11 films.  9 of these films are directed by Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) individuals. 

In the past, most of our film entries were from Europe or North America, however this time, we will screen works from a wider range of cultures such as Egypt, the Philippines, and Myanmar. 

The Audience Award will be given to the film that receives the most votes by members of the audience.

The Film Program of the 3rd Tokyo International Deaf Film Festival has been announced.

In-person screenings will take place at Euro Live Shibuya from December 4-5, 2021. Also, for the first time, online screenings will be available from December 4-12, 2021.

Over the course of 9 days, we will screen 32 unique films.  These films were chosen from a Deaf perspective and range from those that have been screened at other film festivals around the world, to those being premiered for the first time.

For 2021, the theme is “Otherness” (in Japanese, 「異質」). Many different people all live together in this world. In our own daily lives, we come face to face with these differences all the time. What would you do if you encountered something or someone that was strange or unfamiliar to you? What makes you different compared to everyone else?

TDF2021 will showcase a variety of films that seek answers to these questions.  Please experience these films selected from a Deaf perspective.
